In our climate, double-coated dogs, Labs, Goldens, Huskies, Shepherds, shed basically year-round. Regular bath-and-brush visits with a proper blow out remove handfuls of dead undercoat before it lands on your couch, lets air reach the skin so your dog stays cooler, and keeps the coat doing its job as insulation. (Please don't shave a double coat for summer, it ruins regrowth and exposes skin to sunburn. A de-shed does what shaving pretends to.)
How often should you bathe a dog in Florida?
